Elon Musk is thought of both as an elitest, out of touch rich boy, who bought his way into American politics and slashed many essential programs for the working class and the poor, as well as a really smart, decisive guy who understands the reality of balancing a budget involves making hard choices that are not always popular.

As an Independent, I think the truth lies somewhere between these two views.

Despite being born into a wealthy family, Elon Musk was famous for working very long hours for months on end, overcoming the many barriers to developing a truly unique vehicle that was both affordable, supercharging, and easily updatable.

I don't think Elon truly understood what it was like to be a working class American, so his thoughts on what were essential programs, and which needed to be slashed were far from perfect, but I do believe what he proposed as cuts were done with the sincere intention of making the American Government a better one, so I'm not inclined to judge him too harshly. In addition, I agree with Elon Musk when he said recently: "I was disappointed to see the massive spending bill, frankly, which increases the budget deficit, not just decreases it, and undermines the work that the DOGE team is doing," Musk said in a May 27 interview on CBS Sunday Morning.

This was a huge wasted opportunity. Getting things done isn't just about WANTING to get things done, it's also about HOW you go about DOING it. And you don't do something this important and complicated like the way it was done. This was/is a goddamn circus. Par for the course for this administration.

Musk's ego, impatience and hubris didn't help. The American government is not a goddamn startup.

If he didn't understand the damage he was doing to working people, he shouldn't be in the position to harm them.

The other day on the radio (I only caught the last couple of minutes), various folk close to Musk were interviewed, even his father Errol. The summing was to ignore all the crap in the media about Elon, it's just all media lies.

After seeing the Lefty mouth frothing on this forum about Musk, that radio programme summed up the crap that's out there on him.

What exactly do you think a nation going broke from corruption should look like?

You really think that the graft, waste, and outright fraud is going to be fixed by nibbling at the edges of the problem, but never exposing the true nature of it?

I would think somebody in finance all their lives would know how badly our government has been screwing the nation for their own personal wealth.

Musk's job was to eliminate "waste, fraud, and theft", not to pamper the government workers.

The DOGE team are expert at running modern companies, they know who needs to be cut, and how to modernize it.

What has he done that is so bad? America has $36T in debt and more coming. Do you realize the predicament? You are in major trouble.and your own courts are encouraging this insolvency, making it difficult for Trump to right the ship.
Musk wasn’t doing anything to solve the deficit, just trying to free up money for his projects. There was never going to be any overall budgetary reduction.

Wrong.
The budget deficit went from Biden's $1.7T to the House version at only $380b annually.
The senate version may even get to a surplus.

The greatest Polymath since the likes of Newton and Leonardo --- Miles Mathis --- wrote this paper on Musk very nearly a decade ago .

I don't Believe in Elon Musk.
It seems as conclusive now as it was when written .

It is my view that Musk became a CIA asset when young and is Deep State like Zuckerburg , Bezos and others , and,in the case of Elon , is poster boy for the Break Away Civilisation group of rogue companies .
Those that are privy to funds taken illegally to fund Above Top Secret , Black Operations/ Projects .

Unsurprisingly with Musk and Trump both being Jewish there are obvious and heavy Deep State ties .
Having Musk and Trumpfy as media front line controllers means that Deep State can play games with the Sheeple to deflect them away from core strategy and objectives .

That is , much of their public contributions are scripted Theatre .

Come on Sheeplets . Get thinking .

I think Musk was a little naive about the extent and universality of our government corruption. He's also naive to think that people who are robbing our country blind are going to quit. But now that we're at the end of DOGE's fantastic effort to uncover waste and fraud, Musk is faced with a bigger and more difficult task. How does he get our legislators and bureaucrats, who are the biggest robber barons of all, to police themselves? I don't think he's going to figure that one out. All in all, Musk has done a great job

Go ahead and link us up to that info.
You said Musk is " just trying to free up money for his projects".
Remember.
Be specific.

Musk has left the government.

That will jack up the markets.

Go work on your faulty space craft, Elon.

SpaceX, EV grants. Has he cut anything from them? You know, if the government’s involved, there’s fraud and waste.

It's like fixing a leaking faucet on the Titanic.
