I told him how you were so good with sheep, but sometimes took the cheap shot just to create a bit fun. I told him he would have no more loyal or loving companion. And that you had Heart. Sounds like you were a good dog mommy. As I've said before, I believe we owe our animal companions certain things. Most of those things are very obvious - food, water, shelter and warm place next to the fire. But, just as important is a decent end and that takes courage.

Thank you for telling us about Cowboy and for sharing those photos.
