A Canadian Muslim from Pakistan describes how witnessing the dark side of Sharia Law made her realize how free people are in Western society.

In Islam a lot of Christians and Muslims are persecuted because they’re different. My family members have seen people accused of blasphemy law tied to the back of cars and dragged through the streets and killed that way.

A controversial law proposal called M-103 that attacks free-speech under the guise of fighting Islamophobia has been called “draconian” by many Canadians.

The US went to war in Iraq. The US then messed up the post war period and allowed al Qaeda to not only gain a foothold, but gain plenty of propaganda. Bush was their greatest recruiter. Syria happened because of the instability in its neighboring country.

The guy who turned ISIS into an internationally known group, got his training fighting the US in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Without the Iraq war, Syria probably would not have gone into Civil War. ISIS would certainly not have existed, Islamic Terrorism would have not been as strong as it is today. All this happened because of the US and its awful foreign policy, lack of seeing potential consequences for the future.

But hey, it's so easy to just turn around and say "not it isn't", anyone can do that.

Long before Israel existed Muslims invaded, enslaved, and murdered plenty of people. They just like to use any excuse to carry out their holy war. Their religion dictates to them they need to advance Islam and kill infidels, the root of their evil is in the Koran. Not all Muslims folllow the same interpretation of Islam. Pakistan in particular has a lot of cultural practices mixed in with their version of Shariah law. These cultural practices are backwards at best. I have a friend who's Pakistani and she tells me about the crazy cultural practices they have.

For example they have a practice where the mother of the groom will inspect the bed after the wedding night to make sure there is a blood spot to prove if the bride is a virgin. if there's no blood the groom is forced to divorce the bride immediately.

Some couples even go and get blood from the butcher and just pour it onto the matress so the groom's mother doesn't go bunkers.

This practice has no basis in Islam whatsoever but many Pakistani Muslims think it is.

Lack of education is the issue. Much like lack of education is the cause of the religious right in this country.
