Disagree. A lot of people don’t know that genocide has an actual legal meaning and they use it broadly and inaccurately. Israel is no more exempt than ANY OTHER country from accusations of genocide just because…well…Israel. When you see over 40,000 people, mostly women and children killed and unfettered violence in the West Bank, it is easy to see WHY people make that accusation especially in the context of what Israeli leadership and people here say about the Palestinian people: they are vermin, they should be eliminated or expelled, they deserve it because there are no innocent Palestinians, they are a fake people, send them all to Egypt.

That doesn’t mean the critics hate Jews (that depends on what else they say) - it means they are disturbed and angry about what they are seeing in Gaza as ANY NORMAL PERSON SHOULD BE. It doesn’t they don’t care about the hostages. It isn’t a case where it must be one or the other.
