Perhaps a split from each party creating 4 of them would be possible. You are not getting total libertarian elected in a nation where people are addicted to social programs. Reducing the number of government employees is possible though.

What controls today's libertarian party does so with well under 1% of the voters. The candidate in 2024 was a sick joke, a gay supporter of vaccine mandates.... not exactly libertarian by my definition...

IT can be "overthrown" by former 1990s type Republicans and moderate Dems.

I've been a libertarian most of my life, but I don't think the Libertarian Party is ready or able to lead this charge. At this point, what we need is a solid consensus party. A party, or perhaps just an independent candidate, who still seek to unite us rather that divide us further.
