The DOD procurement system is a mess. USAID was a slush fund. Cutting USAID and putting it under Rubio and State is genius. DOGE saved at least $175b and they are just getting started.

DOGE was cutting pennies on the Dollar compared to the Trump led Tax cut... Spending cuts doesn't even pay for half his cuts...

That is a lie. Trump's tax cut extension is not new, it is keeping the same tax rates from 2017.

this is a Trojan horse... cut taxes and run a huge deficit... Then when government changes the next crew will be faced a Debt crisis and US could be at risk of default... They will need to remove the tax cuts (i.e. increase taxes), GOP and Blue dogs will insist even more spending cuts to social programs to pay for that (Defence will be safe) as well...
So what will effectively happen is even more money is taken from the bottom and given to the top... You will get a media campaign how the Rich deserve this money and the poor need to 'pay there way'... This was the same shit they said before the French Revolution...

1. The Trump-47 deficit is not "huge". Biden's annual deficit was $1.7T. Trump-47's projected deficit based on CBO's analysis of the House budget is $380b a year. The senate hopes to get to a surplus. So your assertion about a "huge deficit" is wrong.

2. The "next crew" will be tasked with cutting spending even more. But as you say, they may be forced to raise revenue. Possibly raise the cap for SS. Possibly end the "capital gains" tax loop-hole. Or other revenue raisers.

3. I disagree that the MSM will be promoting the rich getting richer and the middle and bottom get squeezed.

It was a kind of a slush fund but Congress was on top of it and directed the payments... Everything was accounted for...

USAID was very transparent and every cent could be accounted for. Compare that to the Defence Dept which hasn't passed an audit in 7 years and spends over 20 times the budget...
