Read...Musk calls himself a defender of free speech...only when he decides what is "free speech."

He is an elite, like trump, who wants everyone to think he is out for them. Musk is a Fascist just like most of the leaders of MAGA...the new repub party.

Um...nobody said any of these folks weren't allowed to say what they wanted. Free SPEECH, relates to the Govt censorship of people, not people not having consequences from their speech

If they were employed "at will", which I'm sure they were, they can be fired for any reason, or no reason at all.

That's not entirely accurate.

An at-will employee can be fired for a good reason, a bad reason or no reason at all. They cannot however be fired for an unlawful reason. Attempting to unionize, working in concert with your fellow employees to address concerns regarding your working environment or to improve your work environment are rights that workers have. For an employer to retaliate against them by firing them can very well be a violation of their worker rights that the National Labor Relations Board enforces.

Retaliation also applies to a few other employment situations were the worker has suffered an adverse action, it doesn't always have to be getting fired. It can a demotion, a less desirable shift, having their hours cut back, etc.
