I agree and if he messes around too much he might just find his access to NASA contracts gets reduced.
Trump uses people as anyone with a brain cell knows, he throws them under a bus as and when he's done with them, Musk can only blame himself for his stupidity.
Any experienced manager can run DOGE, it's what good managers do all the time, root out excessive costs and reduced wastage, Musk is less qualified than 99% of the people who this kind of thing for a living.
Musk (like Trump himself) has no leadership skills, he's just a boss and a bully.

He's not a good manager or leader, he's just a venture capitalist, learn the difference.
Wasn't his plan to just cut benefits and services by like a third and then cut that remainder by a third and so on until what was left was profitable was privatized?

You know more than I if that's the case, all I saw before the election was rhetoric about slicing billions off this and that.
At the risk of sounding like I'm bragging, I am a workaholic and am passionate about being productive, innovative, improving things etc. And most jobs I have had working for others required two or more people to replace me when I left.
I know many people who are like that. And maybe that's why I relate so well to somebody like Donald Trump or Elon Musk who get more done in a day than most people can do in a week or more. Those two and many others put me to shame.
There's a video out there of him proposing that cockamamie idea.
