MSNBC host Joe Scarborough defended President Trump's federal takeover of Washington, D.C.'s police force.

Scarborough has a checkered history with Trump to say the least, but he revealed he can still see the forest through the trees when it comes to crime in the nation's capital.

During a segment on Tuesday's edition of "Morning Joe," Scarborough and his panel said that despite a downtick in crime numbers, D.C. remains incredibly dangerous for its residents.

Scarborough revealed that "so many people" have been calling him recently to say the federal government is long overdue in stepping in to stop crime in D.C. and "should have gotten involved years ago."

But what if those lines were tapped? Will their confessions end their careers?

As for Scarborough, his career was toast long ago.

Juvenile crime will not be addressed until the social issues around them are I assure you. The underlying issues, be it the failed War on Drugs by Reagan, the "Three Strikes your out" by Clinton, all lead to one outcome: failure.

Is drug use lower after decades of spending? Is crime lower after Clintons big approach to crime? This requires deep thinkers, not reflexive anger which we all experience when we see or hear of a horrific crime. PREVENT the next one ffs.

Trust me on this, I grew up in a bad neighbourhood, Was a victim of being jumped and robbed by older kids before I was the age of 9. You can create a revolving door of criminals (which is a benefit to the courts, lawyers, police budgets and prison system), or, you can do what successful nations do and that is alter the course of someone who made bad decisions, leverage their talents and utilize them for the economy.

The difficult decisions are never used because in general politicians are lazy and uninspiring people. Also, there are benefits to some low performers to keep people permanently criminals. All it does it limit a nations potential while upsetting G-d.

Some criminals aren't ready for rehabilitation and some never will be. However, I would bet 80% of young criminals can be sent in the right direction. Arrest and punish, but also educate and rehabilitate.

I've said on here very honestly, that the worst people in bad areas, the ring leaders of crimes, were all lowlife undercover cops. They were manufacturing crime for their future and for the police interests. It's disgusting and it should never be allowed in any civilized nations. These SOBs should be charged with incitement.

The DC Mayor and Police chief are basically backng Trump on this and you are most likely correct about some privately supporting this action.

Morning Mika?

If they don't raise a big stink publicly over anything and everything Trump does and says they are out of the DNC.

But then there is the reality behind the curtain as they only spew TDS related stories.

For example, I bet a good number in the media who live in the Swamp are scared to death every day of crime but are not really free to make it known.
