Mrs. Kirk With Some Ideas About Women and Work

I was a feminist when the issue was denial of choices, options, opportunities for women. I still strongly support women not being denied that. As previously posted, mostly because I lived in small town and cities, I was able to manage putting home and family first and still enjoy rewarding pursuits in various careers over my adult lifetime.

I stopped being a feminist when it denigrated those women that held onto traditional values, concepts, ideals, ethics and belittled those who chose being a homemaker and full time mom over a 'career'.

I think I am probably on the same page with Erika there.
Thx....it's starting to sink in FF.......does it seem to you the whole movement just isn't looking like it started out as ??? ~S~

I hope so sparky. I just posted on my Making America Normal Again thread that the worm may not have turned yet to restore the MAGA vision of a normal, strong, secure, free, prosperous America, but there are these glimmers of hope that it is beginning to do so.

prosperity for everyone would seem key FF.....~S~

I agree with her.
We're not mean enough to liberal and leftist women that catastrophize about getting gangraped by brown people and then they vote to let a bunch of brown inbred people in and look what happens.
Play stupid games win stupid prizes I'm afraid.

Probably unachievable. There will always be those whose circumstances for want of a better term involve just plain rotten luck and those who refuse to do what is necessary for all but the very lucky to prosper and/or who sabotage their own prosperity.

So I would say choices, options, liberty, opportunity for everyone to prosper to the best of their ability and/or life choices is the goal.

And a growing number realize they arent going to be wealthy. So we are where we are at. Its all good.

Well it's the luck of the draw that we can't all be celebrity millionaire entertainers or sports figures or prestigious surgeons or CEOs of large corporations or charities or other financially lucrative situations. And that is why equity is impossible to achieve without impoverishing everybody. But, except for the most unlucky, pretty much all with the right values and work ethic can manage to have a good life even if that doesn't involve what most consider 'wealth'.

it's all good IIFM......as a matter of perspective

wealth isn't always measured by monetary means

if you catch my drift......... ;) ~S~

Some supposed "feminists" may take issue with the remarks. She has a point though. A certain (leftist, of course) element seems to resent women who choose to be home makers. Ironically, this feels like an anachronism in this day and age.
Feminism has caused a woman being a homemaker to be perceived as slave status. IMO, a woman who chooses to stay home, have and raise children while running the household is a million times more important than climbing any corporate ladder.

It's the hardest job one would ever love Leo....~S~

You seem to be unable to understand that if the leftist mentality doesn't control our society and culture, the situations in Dallas, Houston, Austin can change for the better. I speak of a better America, not the one's Biden and company and the Deep State and self-serving wrong headed other politicians have forced on us.
So you have no answer. That pretty much sinks your position.

Thats great but it doesn't pay the mortgage.
