A few days before Valentines Day and for the first time in a long time I will not be sharing it wth my wife. I was thinking back to my youth and the songs that touched me. Even though I was not a big fan of this band, this songs lyrics just sang to my idealism of love. If you all have a loved one to share Valentines with, enjoy. The song blows chunks in any event — regardless of who’s doing the cover. But the Honeydrippers’ cover version is an abomination.

This is definitely up there. In fact, I think I posted it once before on here calling it the greatest love song. Definitely powerful and heartfelt. I'm not sure I view it as sappy though. This is also a cover (though far better IMO)
