So good to see this happening! In San Francisco, where liberals have gone soft on lowlife thugs, here we have men step up to stop thief in cafe. Watch to the end: even a man walking by runs into the cafe to help.

In many jurisdictions, using bear spray on humans may be classified as assault or use of a dangerous weapon, depending on the circumstances and local laws.

As such an armed response (gun) is allowed as appropriate force to end the assault.

That said who knows about CA? :dunno:

Since this subject came up. A lady friend of mine stepped in to stop a man on public transit who was groping two teen girls. When no else helped she grabbed the mans arm and pulled it away then he grabbed her, the fight was on. She had some training in submission grappling and kick boxing using a triangle choke she put the guy out. When the police and ambulance got there they were both arrested. The judge said'' her skills was the same as having a gun.'' So it is something to be aware of if you decide to step into a situation. She did jail time and had to get mental health counseling. I am the one who taught her and spoke to a police lady on the phone who was just confirming her information. This was all in San Francisco some years back.

Horrible that they jailed the Good Samaritan, but as I was reading your story, I was thinking this must have been in a liberal city. And sure enough, your last line identified San Francisco.

Maybe the lesson is to be wary of protecting innocent people from criminals if it’s a blue area.

I doubt this story

I doubt this story
It almost like saying that since I am stronger than the guy attacking people that it’s illegal for me to use that strength because it’s a “weapon”

In NYC a bodega worker stops an assault and is arrested and charged with murder. A man protecting Subway riders is accused of murdering the perpetrator.
Our justice system turned on it head.

Only in upside-down liberal cities.

I lived in Minnesota a long time ago. I saw on the news a story about this guy who had a gun, went into a bank to rob it and, when done, he was shot and killed by an armed security guard while fleeing. The family sued the guard and the security company because all their loved one wanted to do was rob the bank, he wasn't going to hurt anyone, and didn't deserve to die for what he had done. Thankfully, the courts didn't see it the family's way but it should never have gone to court in the first place.

I read a case where a burglar climbed into someone’s window, and then tripped on something. He sued the homeowner. Can’t remember the outcome.

Thugs have become so emboldened thanks to liberalism that they feel they can pull this crap off. But the times they are a’changing, to being on the side of good people and against bad people.

I have a friend who collected funny criminal stories like that. He had a lot of them. One I remember is that a woman's head was found in the woods somewhere, no sign of the rest of her body and the article said that "foul play was suspected". Another was criminals broke into an apartment and stole a bunch of things, including a polaroid camera. To make sure the camera worked, they took a picture of themselves but forgot to take the picture with them when they left.

There was one where the bank robber wrote his demand note on the back of his own personal check. :laughing0301:

So the criminal had mace. Hadn't seen that before. lol
