More Americans still blame Bush than Obama:

A poll, taken Aug. 18-22 shows more Americans still blame former President George W. Bush rather than Obama for the economic distress. Some 31 percent put the bulk of the blame on Obama, while 51 percent point to his Republican predecessor. Obama also fares better than Congress in the blame department. Some 44 percent put "a lot" or "most" of the blame on Republicans while 36 percent point to congressional Democrats. As to creating jobs, some 44 percent said they would trust Democrats to do a better job, while 42 percent said Republicans would. The silent Majority isn't taken its cues from Faux News or Rush Limbaugh, only the loud minority.

The repubs will explain this away with conspiracies of America being bedazzled by Obamas charm. That or most of Americans are just stupid. Go America!

Don't you remember last time? McCain was MUCH LESS like Bush than Perry, yet they still said he was running for Bush's 3rd term.

Pathetic, but you have to admit this BS is probably their best shot at winning.

About the only think Perry and Bush have in common is their accent, and maybe some agreement on Social Issues. Perry is not the big spending asshole Bush is. At least I would sure hope not.

In the end it didnt matter because Obama is like bushes third term and maybe fourth. McCain would have been the same deal and you know it.

Not arguing there, I was dead set against McCain as well.

However I think Obama is even worse than Bush. He renewed the Patriot act, He ramped up the war in Afghanistan, Got us involved in yet another way in a Muslim country, Didn't close Gitmo, and he spends 4 times as fast a Bush.

Bush let Regulation enforcement, and over site slip. Obama is adding so much new Regulations and Mandates it is Stifling Job Creation.

Fucking sucks.

I swear I would vote for an Eggplant if I had the slightest Hope they were serious about addressing our Debt, Deficits and entitlements Problems, and making America more attractive to Investment and Business.

Im sure you are really upset by those things and were totally against all of that since forever, right? :doubt:

SO which company did the poll and who commissioned the poll?
Polls are for the uninformed. Polls are taken with the assurance of a predetermined result.
Anyone who makes decisions about politics or political candidates based on polls, really should stay the hell away from the voting booth.
Now, in reality it doesn't really matter what the results of a dopey poll. The reality is that This has been Obama's watch for 32 months. HE is responsible. Done. Over. End of story.
Stop posting this nonsense.

Where do you get the idea that this graph has a shred of truth to it?
Oh, I get it...Because someone took the time to make the graph and posted it one the internet, it MUST be true....Brilliant.
Face it, your guy here...This President Obama is done. He has no economic policy other than to grow the size of government. He has no foreign policy other than to commit one international gaffe after another. He stuck us in Libya which is now going to be the same tar pit as Afghanistan.

The fact is Obama has crushed 10 years of home equity, presides over the lowest growth GDP since the Carter administration.
Of course, you being a liberal which by definition makes you an unrealistic person driven by feeling rather than thoughts, it is useless to attempt to point out Obama's wrongs. You like the rest of Obama's followers will continue to make excuses, obfuscate and of course blame the previous president. All roads lead to the same thing. You people, like Obama refuse to accept any responsibility for your actions.

The problem with this poll is Obama is not going to be running against Bush.

But thanks for the interesting diversion.

well it seems he is running against Bush in some form, and if you run someone like Perry who is a Bush clone your chances are slim. It also means less people are likely to turn from Obama because they blame Bush.
Provide examples of Perry being a Bush clone...
Same state doesn't apply.

It's amazes me that people don't understand that Obama is the amplified version of Bush.

What does he have to do to prove this? He is doing the amplified version of EVERYTHIG tha Bush did. If he tries to run against Bush, the Repuiblicans would be wise to demonstrate that he IS Bush.

Your graph should be labeled "Democrat Control of Congress" and Republican Control of Half of the Congress".

The president does not spend. He only approves. The Democrats controlled the appropriation process from 2007 forward to 2011.

Now look at that graph again.

This won't save Obama next year.

I find it interesting that the GOP is talking loudly about how great they are, they even have their own propaganda channel, but every poll that comes out lately seems to have them falling faster than Newton’s apple.

POLL: Most Americans Are Furious With The Federal Government And Everyone In It

Only 22% of Americans approve of Congressional Republicans' job performance, down from 36% in February. The GOP's favorability rating has dropped to 34% from 43% in February.

Despite Texas Gov. Rick Perry's addition to the 2012 GOP field, voters are still not psyched about the Republican presidential candidates. Only 26% of those polled have a good impression of the candidates, and 64% said the field is "fair or poor."

Although Obama is still in a dead heat against a generic Republican presidential candidate, the poll does have a little bit of good news for the president. The majority of Americans still see him as principled (71%), caring (63%), and trustworthy (59%).

I think Fox needs to step it up a gear.

More Americans may blame Bush for the economic mess than Obama, but it is looking more and more likely that more Americans are going to vote against Obama next year than vote for him.
