Mondoweiss is a news website devoted to covering American foreign policy in the Middle East, chiefly from a progressive Jewish perspective.
It has four principal aims:
To publish important developments touching on Israel/Palestine, the American Jewish community and the shifting debate over US foreign policy in a timely fashion.
To publish a diversity of voices to promote dialogue on these important issues.
To foster the movement for greater fairness and justice for Palestinians in American foreign policy.
To offer alternatives to pro-Zionist ideology as a basis for American Jewish identity.
This blog is co-edited by Philip Weiss and Adam Horowitz. Weiss is 56 and lives in New York state. Horowitz is 39 and lives in Atlanta.
We maintain this blog because of 9/11, Iraq, Gaza, the Nakba, the struggling people of Israel and Palestine, and our Jewish background.

Together these two websites provide good coverage of peace options in Israel/Palestine.

Between 2010 and 2011, Tablet magazine published three articles,[44][45][46] in which Mondoweiss, along with some other blogs, were thoroughly criticized. These articles characterized Weiss as a "Jew-baiter" & "intensely anti-Israel", saying his site is "obsessed with Israel and the machinations of the U.S. Israel lobby." and laden with "sweeping and unsubstantiated rhetoric
In 2012, The Algemeiner Journal characterized Mondoweiss as "Purveyors of Anti-Semitic Material".[8] Also, Armin Rosen, a Media Fellow with The Atlantic, criticized Peter Beinart's blog, Open Zion (which appears in The Daily Beast) for publishing an article by Alex Kane because he is Mondoweiss's "Staff Reporter." Rosen wrote that "Mondoweiss often gives the appearance of an anti-Semitic enterprise."[
Later that year, The Algemeiner Journal published another article decrying Mondoweiss for its associations with Judith Butler, in light of her recent comments describing Islamist movements, even those of the militant variety, like Hamas and Hezbollah, as “social movements that are progressive, that are on the Left, that are part of a global Left”.
In 2013, Peter Beinart, writing for The Daily Beast, accused Mondoweiss of "ignoring human rights abuse unless it can be linked to America or capitalism or the West", and said that "By admitting that theyÂ’re more interested in human rights violations when Israel commits them than when Hamas does, Horowitz and Roth are implying that they donÂ’t really see human rights as universal
Later in the year, A. Jay Adler, writing for The Algemeiner Journal, characterized Mondoweiss as "anti-Semitic" yet again,[10] and Commentary magazine accused Mondoweiss of being complicit in an "effort to delegitimize Jewish rights
In October of 2013, former Ku Klux Klan Grand Wizard David Duke praised Max Blumenthal, a frequent Mondoweiss contributor and sometimes editor,[56] saying: “Blumenthal’s writings and videos are extremely valuable in the study of Jewish extremism, as he is not shy about using his Jewish name and looks to gain access to Jewish extremists in order to document the ugliest side of Zionism
Journalist Bradley Burston writing in Haaretz described Mondoweiss as "avowedly anti-Israel" in reference to its coverage of the 2014 kidnapping and murder of Israeli teenagers
So all in all not a very good indication of your ideals and POV when you elevate your choice of informants who are proven ISRAEL BASHERS and ANTI SEMITES
