There was always going to be oil market volatility when Iran finally got confronted. All of this volitility becomes moot if the US succeeds and a western friendly Iran emerges from this.

Getting rid of the ayatollahs is everyone's work. Iran has been attacking all the countries in the ME for years and is clearly trying to develop long range nuclear capable missiles that can reach Europe and eventually the US.

But the Arabs are hesitant for two reasons. First, they are worried about how their populations would respond to them allying the country with Cristians and Jews to attack another Muslim country, and even more importantly, after so many years of the US trying to appease the ayatollahs, they have to wonder if Trump will stay the course and get rid of the ayatollahs or agree to a ceasefire that leaves them to their own devices against an enraged Iran.

They have no incentive whatsoever to join Trump’s chaotic, mismanaged quagmire.
