MN Police Chief Outlines Reported Illegal Activities of ICE

Source discrimination is a valuable skill one is taught mostly in college.

There’s a difference.
Sure there is. Have you read anything at all about how many of these "peer reviewed" papers are actually bullshit? I'm afraid you are putting too much faith in some of these folks.

how so? Explain that process for us. Tell us how you find a fact

When you take the position that you can’t believe anything, you open the possibility to believing anything just because you want to. Put another way, you’re creating a reality where there is no difference between something said by a well researched and reliable source and something you just made up. Both are equally unreliable so there’s nothing stopping you from just believing whichever is more convenient.

This is a well known phenomenon with authoritarian states. Read the book “nothing is true and everything is possible”.

While a person needs to seek out good sources, common sense should help you decide. Can a man become a woman? Is banning the police a good idea? I am finding that most well researched, reliable sources might be full of shit.

BTW, it is much more convenient to believe these sources than it is to ponder on their conclusions.

Peer review is under attack due to massive data breaches exposing reviewers (like the recent OpenReview breach), the rise of AI manipulation (prompt injection to inflate scores), and widespread issues like fraud from paper mills, incompetent/biased reviewers, ad hominem attacks, and overwhelming workloads, all eroding trust in a system already fragile from institutional self-preservation and publication pressure. These challenges, from data leaks and AI vulnerabilities to outright fraud, create a crisis for academic integrity, making it harder to ensure quality research

Peer review has nothing to do with it.

In this instance, CIS is a far right source with a clear political agenda and a history of shoddy research.

But we don’t need to go by reputation alone.

They base their estimate of self deportations on the CPS, however that is a voluntary survey and in this political climate, there’s ample reason to believe that individuals may be far more reluctant to self report their immigrant status to the government. So there’s a reporting bias that isn’t dealt with.

It would be hard to imagine 2 million people disappearing from the country without it being a little bit more noticeable.

who claimed we don't believe anything? I believe things you don't. So using your own words, you don't believe anything right?

It is noticeable through lower rents, higher wages, and drops in crime.

I believe in reality. You believe whatever you want to believe.

What drove higher wages and drops in crime under Biden in 2023 and 2024?

Rent is up 3% year over year.

Post hoc ergo propter hoc

I believe in reality. You believe whatever you want to believe.
I believe in reality and you believe whatever you want to believe. Tell me how we're different? Cause you say so? haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahaha

That's when facts are important, and to date, you don't use facts.

I say rent is up 2.9% in the last year.

What do you think?

Brooklyn Park (Twin Cities area) talks about how the recent activity of ICE has been illegally stopping and targeting minorities based on their skin color - including officers.
  • Says he supports immigration enforcement
  • Says federal LEOs have worked successfully with his office for years, including ICE
  • Says the last two weeks have seen unprecedented illegal stops and targeting of minorities
  • Said off duty cops are being stopped - every one stopped was a person of color
  • Said one off duty cop was driving home, was boxed in by ICE who demanded to see her paperwork proving she was a citizen. She doesnt travel with her birth certificate. As it escalated she tried to record the incident and had her phone physically knocked from her hand. Guns were drawn on her during the encounter.

Not sure what you expect from these MAGAt fuckbois, besides sealclapping and hee hawing.

The racism and brutality are features for them, not bugs.

This is funny stuff. You do know that federal law supersedes state and local? Yeah, I didn't think you knew. You're just another partisan liberal hack.

I wonder if check points on highways to check for drunk drivers upsets him as much?
You clearly dont know the law. Checkponts cannot racially profile. In fact, they are set to check in a pattern like every 4th car. But REGARDLESS the the 4th Amendment still applies, but DUI checkpoints are only legal when they’re neutral, limited, and nondiscriminatory.

The constitution supersedes federal law genius. The actions of ICE violate the constitutional 4th amendment. That is what he pointed out but you are EITHER a partisan hack OR a moron. I'd wager 50/50 or both.
