Mixed economies Capitalism and Socialism - Where to draw the line?

That was a long rant to bash the Swedish policies.

That rant wasn't about Swedish policies, it was about socialist policies that don't work. If you think healthcare is good in Europe and will work here then all you gotta do is convince the voters to significantly raise taxes on everybody and I mean everybody to pay for it. There's a reason why several blue states have tried to institute a universal healthcare system that failed or couldn't get it off the ground. Costs. If it was doable, we'd be doing it here somewhere.

I am not going to listen to an hour and 15 minutes of bullshit from the Biden Administration regarding industrial policy or anything else. If that's what you want, okay but you can forget about innovation and creativity. China doesn't do that, mostly they steal it from us. A good bit of China's economic success over the past 40-50 years has been due to their shift away from authoritarian socialistic policy in favor of capitalism and market reform. Their standard of living ain't that good, China’s per capita income ranked 75th among countries in 2016, alongside Algeria and Thailand. And lest we forget, the reason why China was in so much poverty in the 1st place before then was due to the communistic/socialistic policies that stifled economic growth.

Universal healthcare can't be set up by individual states, it has to be a federal program.
The federal government is a money issuer (through the Fed) , and the individual states are money users.
This also begs the question of why the US healthcare system is 2.5 times more expensive than the developed countries average.

Don't listen to the whole duration of the conference, the relevant fragment is located at 21:40 minutes. It is just a couple of minutes. The link is provided as proof, that I am not making things up. Don't feel obligated to listen to it.

Granted, China has done a fair amount of spying. This also begs the following questions:
1) How did they get started on their space program, given the fact that NASA had already stopped most of its programs?
2) How they were able to build a network of high-speed railways, given the US has none? You could argue they stole that from Japan. That may be the case. But it is also the case that they built the network in record time. Spying gives you the prototype ( 0-1) , and execution gives you the usable product ( 1- n ).
3) How they got to build hypersonic missiles?

Finally, no, their living standards are not as high, but that's not really what matters, rather the rate at which they are improving.
