Back when Clarence Thomas was in blatant violation of conflict of interest rules, the R's said that since his wife wasn't on the SCOTUS, her work and her income didn't count. At best, a pretty smarmy defense against the activist conservative legislating from the bench.

BUT - when John Kerry ran for prez, his wife's income and tax returns were ever so terribly important even though SHE was not running for office.

So, here we go again ... Mittens refuses to make his tax returns public. Okay, rw's bring on the excuses. Tell us why its okay to demand that President Obama show us everything from this year's tax return to the foreskin that was thrown in the trash if and when he was circumcised -- in HAWAII, a state then and still a state.

I don't remember ever demanding to see Obama's tax returns. They are totally irrelevant to the campaign. If I did want to see anything, Id want to see his transcripts from college and law school. But even so, they arent very relevant. Im just nosy
