1. Add up the 2021 and 2022 encounters, throw in some "got-aways" you get about 5m migrants Biden let in and shipped all over the US. You know damn well not many, if any, will be shipped back.
Um, no, you really don't since most of those people were sent back.. The only ones allowed to stay are those who had valid asylum claims. Which pretty much eliminated the Mexicans.
2. The Labor Participation Rate fell during the "Great Recession" under Obama 2011-2015. THEN it picked up during the Trump presidency. Now fell again under Biden. The 2020 workforce isn't any different than the 2022 workforce, is it? So why isn't the LPR back up?
Okay, you see, here's your problem. The Great Recession started under Bush and lasted from Q3 2008 to Q2 2009. And, no, the labor participation rate has fell consistently because - wait for it - the workforce is getting older.
The Labor Participation rate doesn't measure how many people are employed, it measures how many people participate in the workforce. If you are unemployed but looking for work, you count as part of the Labor Participation Rate.
It peaked at 69% in the Aughts, and has been on the decline ever since.
It's also pretty obvious you don't know how to read a chart. The slight uptick started in 2015, and then dropped in 2020 during TRUMP PLAGUE and TRUMP RECESSION.
3. So people would rather sit on their parent's porches than work for a living? Got it.
No point in "working for a living" if you can't get a living wage. So let's be analytical about what happened here, a paradigm shift. Before TRUMP PLAGUE, parents didn't make teens work because they need the money, the made them work to "learn responsibility". My parents did, when I got my first job at 16 working for LESS than minimum wage because it was a family restaurant. (This was in 1978). After Trump Plague, people realized that if you send your kid out to work for slave wages for big greedy corporations, they are risking their lives and possibly yours. Better to let them finish college and get jobs with real wages.
4. Most young couples realize that both need to work to live reasonably comfortably. After FAU-CHI's COVID pandemic, many realize that they can do their job from HOME instead of commuting to work. There is NO excuse for not working, especially if you can work from home, and not run the lawless democrat's subways and city street "kill zones". (news flash, Joe said the pandemic is over)
Well, that's fucked up, isn't it? Used to be the Dad was the breadwinner and Mom stayed at home and watched the kids... This is the ideal you Wingnuts like to point to without admitting your love of corporate greed destroyed it. Point was, a lot of Moms decided they liked staying home, crunched the family budget numbers, and realized that paying Lupe to watch the kids was less practical than just watching them yourself.
6. Playing the race card as usual.
Prove your point, that the US needs more non-white menial task laborers.
Like Nancy said, let the 5m new migrants pick crops?
We need a higher Labor Participation Rate, not more low-skill migrants.
Nope, we really need more unskilled labor.
Retail and restaurant workers are more in demand than tech workers.

The thing is, unskilled labor is not a zero sum game. They produce as much consumer activity as they take up. You add 5 million more people, that's five million more people who buy housing, food, clothes, etc.
