Saw this years ago but its free on youtube now. It was made in the 90s. A time before trump when the klan were considered bad by the degenerates in Hollywood. So we get the usual crap where local folk defending their way of life are hounded by the federal govt.
They even cast ugly actors in the roles of ;ocal heroes.
One day Hollywierd will tell the true story of the so called civil rights movement but dont hold your breath,
Its ok if you can stomach the liberal bias.

I plainly remember the civil rights movement. I actually never thought those rights marches would degenerate into Planet of the Apes.

The rights so bravely fought for, civil rights, women's rights, were won and given to those who clearly never deserved them.

Its great to hear from a fellow klan member. Our time will come again.

Gene Hackman was as always, awesome in this movie.

Evidently the scene where the Feds kidnap a bad guy and threaten him was based on a real event, except the person making the threats was a mob guy the FBI was involved with and used.

A long time ago, I was stationed in Meridian, the base from which they used the sailors to search for the missing civil rights workers.

Things had not changed much. The Klan was still holding marches through downtown once a year.

I signed up for the local Volunteer Literacy Program and was assigned an illiterate older black man. He told me about that period of the murder of the civil rights workers. His church was burned down by the Klan.

The only reason he wanted to learn to read was because he was a lay deacon at his church and wanted to learn how to read the Bible.

I also had a run-in with the fat **** who had buried the civil rights workers in a dam on his farm, but that's another story.
