Also, your idea that red states are the poorest states is probably based on red states being "taker" states while blue states are "donor" states, right? That might have something to do with those red states having a huge democrat urban population, as well as military bases, large swaths of government land...

If youre talking about income, thats because the states with the highest incomes also have the highest taxes, you HAVE to make a good salary in order to live there. Thats why a home that might cost you $250,000 in texas might cost you almost $800,000 in california.
