A combat-unit commander told non-commissioned officers Monday that the Iran war was part of God's plan to user in the End Times and bring about Jesus Christ's second coming, according to a complaint filed with a religious freedom watchdog.

"He said that 'President Trump has been anointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran to cause Armageddon and mark his return to Earth,'" the complaint continued. "He had a big grin on his face when he said all of this which made his message seem even more crazy."

Seems normal.

What would you know about 'normal'?

and what does the MRRF not understand about the 1st Amendment and Freedom of Religion?

The title of the thread is somewhat misleading "Military Leaders Pushing" sounds as if it is being officially widespread among all troops - which is not the case.

The article clearly states that it is an isolated incident of a Christian commander speaking to his troops - and his troops were already well aware that his Christian beliefs seemed to be more "extreme" than an average/moderate Christian.

What you guys have done internally has cost our nation trillions of dollars. Wealth is relative and you throw it away with your tantrums.

He made a joke, and that angers you? It literally says in the quote that he was grinning as he said it. :cuckoo:

The first amendment and "freedom of religion" does not always apply within private companies and yes government agencies, including the military.

Although a person has "freedom of speech and freedom of religion" outside of work - companies can set their own rules and operating procedures - which must be followed - even if those rules and procedures may not allow you to exercise the rights of "freedom of speech and freedom of religion".

Stating that the his troops are about to embark on a Holy War - signaling an "End times" Biblical prophesy as a commander is in direct violation of "Separation of Church and State". He is speaking of it from a position of authority - both physically and religiously. And even what he spoke about is warned against in the Bible.

Matthew 24:36:

The Day and Hour Unknown.

As for the exact day and hour, no one knows, neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

In regards to "Separation of Church and State"

The exact term is an offshoot of the phrase, "wall of separation between church and state", as written in Thomas Jefferson's letter to the Danbury Baptist Association in 1802. In that letter, referencing the First Amendment to the United States Constitution, Jefferson writes:

Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between Man & his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legitimate powers of government reach actions only, & not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should 'make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,' thus building a wall of separation between Church and State.

Good to see the Cheeky Iranian Chappies giving End Of Times to so many US Zionist Terrorists .

Looks like the US serial losers could be destined for another cracked skull .

"The US is losing the Iran war"

That has to be the dumbest take on the Iran war yet. Have you lost your idiot mind?

That's if it even happened.

You MSM twerps took the same line over Ukraine and are still rightly embarrassed at how ignorant you turned out to be .
I am again just the messenger for internationally respected journalists and on the ground reporters .

Your opinion on the other hand is worthless .

Let's see how matters progress because so far the US Zionist Terrorists are not doing so well .

The US isnt fighting in Ukraine, retard. The US is however currently trouncing Iran with absolute impunity. We spend all day bombing them, and not one plane has been shot down. Meanwhile, Irans leadership is decimated. By no measure is Iran winning anything. We are killing them at will. :cuckoo:

The US isnt fighting in Ukraine,

Straightaway you MSM twerps get it wrong .
There have been thousands of NATO troops killed in Ukraine and many were /are American .
Excluding the number captured . And so called Advisors .

Most were notional mercenaries but contracted privately .
The standard dodge for plausible denial .

You have no basic understanding of matters but simply rely on MSM parrot talk .

So fly away Bog Dog and dream your dreams elsewhere .

Dont talk to me about mercenaries. This is a discussion about the US military, which is the most organized, efficient and lethal fighting force on the planet.

The reports are insane. US battalion leadership is apparently replete with religious zealots who are pushing a religious message of "end times" in their addresses to their soldiers. This is unconstitutional and insane.

The Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) reports receiving over 200 complaints from service members at more than 50 U.S. installations across all branches since Saturday that religious zealots are leading US forces. Commanders allegedly briefed troops that the Iran war is "part of God’s divine plan," citing Book of Revelation/Armageddon, and that Trump was "anointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran to cause Armageddon."

Article:

MRFF President and Founder Mikey Weinstein, a veteran of the Air Force and the Reagan White House, told me that since the U.S. and Israel attacked Iran early Saturday morning, the MRFF has been “inundated” with similar complaints:

These calls have one damn thing in freaking common; service members report the unrestricted euphoria of their commanders and command chains as to how this new “biblically-sanctioned” war is clearly the undeniable sign of the expeditious approach of the fundamentalist Christian “End Times" as vividly described in the New Testament Book of Revelation.

Many of their commanders are especially delighted with how graphic this battle will be zeroing in on how bloody all of this must become in order to fulfill and be in 100% accordance with fundamentalist Christian end of the world eschatology.
Weinstein cited constitutional and Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) prohibitions against injecting religious beliefs into official military instruction or messaging.

The US military has about 2.86 million

200 incidents worldwide is meaningless and not worth the hysteria you are experiencing

If US commanders mention “end times” its because the shia muslims in iran are committed to the end of the world and act accordingly

As are and do the US commanders, according to complaints from the troops.
