Are a dying breed. We have turned to italian or chinese made amusement rides, but have forgotten about the ride that has seen us through it all. It usually priced so all can afford a ride, and anyone including the handicapped can ride. We let our communities sell them off, even though they are beautiful rides made by what America stands for. People have taken rides on them for the first date, to celebrate marriage, and just to enjoy the ride. Why do we let them go?

I don't care if it's built in China or not, I won't ride anything run by a meth head.

They were works of art. Handcrafted wood, hand painted. They turned out to be worth more if you broke down the ride and sold off the individual horses

A shame really...there was something about the sound and thrill of the ride

Sadly they belong to a slower day and age. We live in the world of new, bigger, better, faster, more exciting. Merry go rounds have gone the way of writing letters.
