Mercury Astronaut Scott Carpenter, Fourth American In Space, Dies At 88

R.I.P. Scott Carpenter and God Speed. We are losing a American hero here and he made his race proud. Only John Glenn is the last Mercury astronaut remaining at age 92. As for these men, they live in a time when it was the high water mark of White endeavor.
