Child IQs and adult IQs arent the same. Even an adult with down syndrome (like democrat Congressman Hank Johnson for example) would probably beat her in overall academics.

IQ is not a measurement of knowledge accrued, but of the capacity to retain knowledge and make connections between disparate concepts.

It does require some accrued knowledge to get a high score on an adult IQ test. If you dropped out of middle school, you wouldnt know what some of the math symbols or terminology on IQ test questions even mean.
