It seems that the military forum has been overwhelmed by idiot Russian blogs but personally I celebrate Memorial day here in rural Va. with a salute from a reproduction Coehorn mortar. About a shot glass of black powder and a wad of newspapers and you get a boom that shakes the ground. Hooah.

I use to go to 29 Palms Marine Corps. base... they have a parade and I can go to the PX.... but this year my town is having a huge BBQ in our park with 8 different bands and two Bars... should be fun... my son and his fam are driving up...looking forward to it...

I prefer filling the gas charcoal with gas and all the doors closed and then push the ignition and then a
"boom" as it heaves and settles back on the ground.
