How does that make sense. The number one exporter of oil in the world is Saudi Arabia, in 2023, Russia and the United States were tied at second. Seems to me, declining oil prices as a means of attacking Russia is kind of like cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Saudi Arabia is in the sweet spot here. They can probably turn a profit at ten dollars a barrel. The US oil industry needs about $60, Russia comes in a little lower, at $56. I mean we have been down this road before, like 50 years ago. Saudi Arabia, and other producers in the Middle East can decimate our domestic oil industry simply by driving the price down to an unprofitable level. We have already seen massive cuts in domestic production initiatives.
