In a Republic, actually
Republicans are taking a huge political gamble as they try to find money for tax cuts by threatening to slash Medicaid. As Congress has learned repeatedly, most recently in 2018, when the party in power messes with Americans’ health care, things don’t go well for them in midterm elections.

Medicaid covers more than 72 million people across the country; about 1 in 4 Americans overall, and about half of all children. It disproportionately covers people with disabilities, the low-income elderly, and anyone needing long term care. And it fills in the gaps for millions of people who need mental health and nursing home services that aren’t otherwise covered by health insurance. Polls show the public health insurance program is viewed favorably by 77 percent of all Americans, and 84 percent of those on the program.

Cuts to Medicaid that are reckless, irresponsible, and unwarranted.

Republicans have contempt for sound, responsible governance; worse, Republicans don't care whom they hurt.

Don't worry Clayton, your Medicaid benefits will not be cut.

All this garbage you lunatics demand is unsustainable and does not fall under the Federal Governments mandate. If the State you live in wants to tax the shit out of you to provide these services. Give up your pay check I didn't agree to this crap.

There are none. Trump is merely looking into cutting some of the graft out of the system by eliminating people collecting it illegally who should not be getting it in the first place.
Yep, but Jones wouldn't have anything to fear and we know he needs to fear things to justify his existence on the forum.

Why do Dims always lie?

Democrats have turned up the gaslighting to flamethrower level. :flameth:

It is all they have, Mike. Just like a bird who bashes its brains out flying into windows and doors.
No matter how they bash their head in, they are still birdbrains who still can't tell a window from an opening.
Democrats are a one trick pony and their trick doesn't work anymore.

We will see. If there are those that depend on it but are cut they will be brought to the forefront, as it should be. And those cases should dictate un cuts.

Medicaid recipients are often in league with criminals and get a cut.

Not much different that someone on the EBT that buys steak and sells it for 50 cents on the dollar.

There are hundreds of thousands of young women with children that sit around on .gov subsidized rent, SS "disability", Medicaid, and EBT.

Nobody is bitching about old folks in a nursing home that had everything stole from them till they had to go on Medicaid to stay in the nursing home.....Plenty of scam billing going on there too.

The amount of fraud is not going to approach the curs suggested. So less cutting will have to be the rule.
