I think the issue is not only the mainstream media but also that people consume news only from sources that confirm what they already believe. That’s where the feeling of propaganda comes from.

I finally heard someone describe Somalis as having a bulb-shaped face, as in like a light bulb. They have a broad forehead and narrowing severely at the chin, with hollow cheeks. The look like dark-brown lightbulbs. If you ever look at the 9/11 hijackers, there was I believe one from Somalia and he had that exact face.

If you watch the movie Captain Phillips, the top billed two actors playing the pirates are Somali and an American of Somali immigrant parents in, you guessed it, Minneapolis. The two other pirates have no background information. Coincidently both actors have the same first name.
