5 days ago — The measles outbreak in Texas has quickly grown to 146 cases. One child has died. NBC News answers readers' questions about the disease, ...

Nationally, 164 measles cases have been reported as of Wednesday, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. All but 5% of those cases are in people who are unvaccinated or whose vaccination status is not known. The Texas outbreak, at 146 cases, makes up the majority of the national total.

The outbreak has grown quickly since it was first reported in early February, renewing concerns about measles elimination in the U.S. and who is safe from infection.
what am I full of? I showed you the numbers from the CDC.

So the outbreak that is happening right now is Biden's fault? Yeah, you're perfectly rationale, no fallacies in your argument at all.
If you look at the CDC link, you'd see the outbreak started last year, there was far more cases, and twice the hospitalizations, and in far more jurisdictions. Just in a month, Trump has cut the jurisdictions, and hosptilizations.

Winning

Why? you said the Mennonites religious beliefs are that they should not vaccinate, I've twice proven that to be a lie.

Here's you lying three times in a row

Here's me proving you are a liar:

You are either losing your eyesight, blind, a liar or a fool, but the general term for such people is trumpanzee, now fuck off with your deranged postings, you make this to easy for me, like shooting fish in a barrel.
Important distinction, CULTURALLY CONSERVATIVE Mennonites. I grew up conservative Mennonite, and I can tell you that there are many, many subgroups in the Mennonite Church. There is, for example, a group called the "Black bumper" Mennonites who will not have chrome bumpers on their cars but will paint them black.

There is little doubt in my mind that this group of Mennonites is most likely apolitical, preferring to stay out of mainstream American life as much as possible, that they don't give a flying rat's patoot who TRUMP! is and that their opposition to vaccination has nothing to do with him at all.

You are trying to assign motives to a group of people you don't understand.

Winning

There were 59 cases in 2023, but there are cases every year. In 2019, there were 1249 cases!

WINNING!!

SO? what is your point?-----most of the USA citizens ---especially the TRAVELERS----are IMMUNE to measles either
by inoculation or prior infection---thus they do not become CARRIERS by traveling. The carriers in the USA are the non-immune from third world countries
Most US citizens are immune.

But not all.

But it could have been someone visiting the country too.

The odds are that it was brought into the country by someone traveling legally.

So what you are saying is this isn't uncommon? Weird to even start a thread then

You are very confused about how vaccines are supposed to work. First off, everyone gets the measles regardless of your vaccination status. Vaccines don't prevent infections, it stops it from becoming into a much larger sickness. That's why it's important for the herd immunity threshold be reached, so it stops the spread of the virus altogether, possibly even eradicating it, which is precisely what happened with measles in 2000. Why would you want to bring back a disease just to preserve your freeDUMB? Is your freeDUMB to get ill and possibly make others sick more important than public health?
Look I get it you want to be able to tell everyone how to think, what to do, what they are allowed to say. You want everyone to follow along. Your motto is do what you are told, when you are told.
You need the Germany of the 1930s to return. Maybe with a bit of old mother Russia thrown in so everyone will be in lockstep just as you want them to be.
The fact you really do not understand the idea of freedom or the idea of vaccination shows.
Try having someone rad this for you. Can You Still Get the Measles Even If You’re Vaccinated?
Then maybe have some one read and explain the constitution to you.

It was started simply because it was meant to make Trump and a mostly red state of Texas look bad.

Do you normally answer a question with a question? Why can't you answer it? hmm?

I have no evidence that migrants were vaccinated, what I do know for a fact is this. Eleven million migrants showed up at the border, traveled together, ended up waiting at the border together, some were even allowed into detention facilities together. In the four years that this has been going on, there was not one report by the CDC, Border Patrol or DHS of any outbreaks, so this talking point that migrants are bringing in measles is more madeup nonsense by the right in order to demonize migrants. Yall have a habit of creating boogeyman out of thin air because you snowflakes love to get riled up about anything, no matter how innocuous it may be, which is why you're so easy to control. Meanwhile texas parents are requesting and getting vaccine exemptions for their children to the tune of 100,000 per year. Yeah, that's not going to cause problems at all.
And if the US citizens had been vaccinated, they would have been fine.

59 * 12 = 708, significantly less than 1249.

The Texas Department of State Health Services is reporting an outbreak of measles in the South Plains region of Texas. At this time, 159 cases have been identified since late January. Twenty-two of the patients have been hospitalized.

9 states report measles cases as outbreaks grow

One of the most contagious viruses in the world is spreading around the United States. So far in 2025 there have been three distinct measles outbreaks and at least 164 cases reported to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention coming from nine states.

At that pace, which is doubtful.
There would be 1804 cases this year

It’s meant to make anti-vaccine advocates look bad. That makes Trump look bad because he installed an anti-vaccine zealot into HHS who is totally disconnected from reality.

You really have no idea. But hey you pretend that crazy is fine

We know what RFK Jr says about measles vaccines and that he’s completely out of touch with reality about it.

Even now his Children’s Health Defense is trying to say the outbreak occurred because vaccines don’t actually work.

Keep at it. I just hope the constitution survives the democrats until I am no longer on this earth

SHIT.

The numbers from 2024 are for entire year.
The latest is from the month of February 2025 and counting, Q-NUT.
Not sure your point that it's from the entire year....no, the link I provided is year to date for 2025.

As you can clearly see, Xiden handed a major outbreak, across more jurisdiction, with a higher hospitalization rate to Trump, and he's cut the numbers down

Few if any. Measles is not endemic anywhere in south or Central America.

You do know that people go in and out of the country legally, right? They freely travel to and from countries with measles.
Yeah, people go in and out legally all day everyday. Guess what we don’t have a problem with all day everyday? The Measles.

You don’t even know where these people are coming from. You don’t even know what you are talking about.
