McConnell, Schumer close in on power-sharing agreement in evenly divided Senate
The top two Senate leaders are nearing a power-sharing agreement to hash out how the evenly divided chamber will operate, with Democrats in charge of setting the schedule but both parties likely to hold an equal number of seats on Senate committees, according to sources familiar with the talks.

"The top two Senate leaders are nearing a power-sharing agreement to hash out how the evenly divided chamber will operate, with Democrats in charge of setting the schedule but both parties likely to hold an equal number of seats on Senate committees. The last time the body was split 50-50; was when George W. Bush initially became president in 2001. Similar to those rules, set in January 2001, Schumer and McConnell aides are discussing allowing bills and nominations to advance to the Senate floor even if they are tied during committee votes Democrats will hold the chairmanships of the committees, giving them power to set the agenda, and Schumer will be granted the title of majority leader since Vice President-elect Kamala Harris will cast tiebreaking votes on the floor."
So these power-hungry Democrats are planning to take the title of Senate Majority Leader away from Mitch McConnell -- just because they have the tiebreaking vote in the Senate?? The right thing to do would be to allow McConnell to remain Senate Leader as a way to heal and unify the country; because if the roles were reversed, McConnell would have done the same for Dems......
Reality is, this article is clickbait designed to anger Dem voters and trick them into thinking that there is some "special powersharing" arrangement when the reality is; if the house is 50/50, the committees will also be 50/50 -- what will be interesting is, how weak Chuck Schumer will be as a Senate leader in comparison to Moscow Mitch.....Moscow Mitch stole a whole entire Supreme Court seat, blocked tons of Obama's federal judge appointments while stuffing a record number of federal judge appointments of his own (because Trump was clueless when it came to federal judges); including fast tracking a Supreme Court justice thru before the previous Justice's body was cold...I anticipate that Democrats and their goofy desire for unity and bipartisanship with a party that openly cheered for and instigated for their own deaths; I anticipate those Dems will continue to be weak and let the GOP continue to block tons of legislation passed by the House.
