I have to hand it to Mayor Frey. What I've seen so far is some very skilled spin. A much needed change from his profanity laced attacks on ICE.

He spins that the protests are "largely peaceful" and blames "agitators," who he implies are doing what Trump wants. He praises the protesters for "mostly" avoiding "taking the bait."

He praises Chief O'Hara (yes) for his officers work. Too little, too late, obviously. The reason ICE has had so many difficulties in these blue cities is a combination of their sanctuary policies and refusal of local law enforcement to work crowd control so ICE agents can do their jobs.

He just said that a specific agitator was "far right" and tried to whip up the crowd. I'd have to see the video, I won't take a Democrat's word for it.

Hillary Clinton did Democrats a severe disservice when she attacked Trump voters as a "basket of deplorables." Prior to that, childlike Democrats on message boards would attack Republican voters, but Democrat politicians would speak respectfully of voters as a way to bring them over to their side.

Democrats have managed to turn immigration law enforcement on its head.

When jurisdictions around the country started declaring themselves "sanctuary" cities, States, etc. nobody told them, "You can't do that!"

In fact, THEY CAN'T DO THAT! You cannot establish a policy of opposing and actively thwarting the national government from enforcing the laws of the land. It is preposterous. The local and state officials should have promptly been indicted...no joke.

It is insane. Imagine the City of Chicago announcing that it will obstruct Illinois State authorities from enforcing liquor laws, or drug laws, or environmental laws. It is inconceivable. And yet the Media and the Democrats walk around accepting this bizarre situation as though it were normal and acceptable. It's not.
