Mayor Johnson: The People of Chicago Will Rise Up Against Trump’s ‘Tyranny’

"He continued, “The president has spent hundreds of millions of dollars to what, arrest nine people in D.C.? You know that that is that clearly he’s demonstrated that he doesn’t have a level of consciousness to understand what it takes to run cities, not to mention an entire country. So, you know, look, we’re going to remain firm. We’ll take legal action. But the people of this city are accustomed to rising up against tyranny. And if that’s necessary, I believe that the people of Chicago will stand firm alongside of me as I work every single day to protect the people of this city.”"

Who elected this clown? Oh yeah, the same idiots that voted for the dementia patient Joe Biden.
He's just mad because the dope dealing gangs in Chicago will see their open air drug sales interrupted by the
National Guard. The gangs have political connections to the Demcorats who run the Chicago ghetto.
The people of Chicago are incapable of rising up against tyranny. If they were, they would have done it already. Risen up against the hundred murders a week they have there.

No, the NG's role is to supplement the army in times of war.

Civil Disturbance is at best a secondary function.

The National Guard didn't shut down the LA riots in 1992, they didn't shut them down in 2020. What makes you think they'd be able to this time. (Working on the assumption that they were having riots, which they aren't.)

The National Guard has many roles besides war fighting. Here's a list of the use of the Illinois NG in Chicago:

The violent LA Riot was stopped with National Guard, Army, and Marine troops. Period.

"This brought total troop strength to 13,500, making LA the largest military occupation of any US city since the 1968 Washington, D.C. riots. Federal troops joined National Guard soldiers to support local police in restoring order directly; the combined force contributed significantly to preventing violence.[citation needed] With most of the violence under control, 30,000 people attended an 11 a.m. peace rally in Koreatown to support local merchants and racial healing.[94]"

But the people of this city are accustomed to rising up against tyranny. And if that’s necessary, I believe that the people of Chicago will stand firm alongside of me as I work every single day to protect the people of this city.
That's what the 2nd is for, right?

To protect states from tyrannical government.

That’s dumb even for a DEI hire.

Just to be clear- are you calling for an armed insurrection in the US?

Lying sack O shit. Trump has arrested HUNDREDS. Where was this bum when Biden was spending hundreds of millions of dollars on gender fluidity in Guyana??? THAT was OK but cleaning up DC to make it safe is a waste of money?

We’ll take legal action. But the people of this city are accustomed to rising up against tyranny. And if that’s necessary, I believe that the people of Chicago will stand firm alongside of me
Year right. What will this bum do when the people do NOT rise up and actually celebrate a politician doing something for the people for a change?

I am always amazed by this right-wing obsession with Chicago. Every since Obama won legitimately (unlike Trump) they've been sitting there, mouth agape, reacting a Negro in the White House the way they'd react to a negro dating their daughter.

Chicago only has high numbers because it's such a large city. In terms of crime rates, it's far below murder rates in Red State cities.

Lots of dem run cities are out of control, that’s what I am seeing here

Why doesn’t the mayor get the city to rise up against crime and then they wouldn’t have to worry about the guard?

I think what the idiot is saying is that when the Fed does something that hurts treasonous leftwing anti-American causes, they call it rising up to oppose a tyrannical government (though one wonders who but a criminal would consider cleaning up crime to be "tyranny?").

But when conservatives oppose an over-bearing, criminal, tyrannical election as in 2020, it is called an "insurrection staged in the attempt to overthrow the federal government and democracy."

Interesting just how quickly it became OKAY by the Left to try to overthrow their federal government. What democrats shout about doing now themselves, just four years ago, they wanted to throw away the key on others for the same thing.

Kinda like My Body My Right. Funny how that all went away when it came down to choosing whether to trust an unproven experimental vaccine or not.

Yawn.

Not their job to do police work. Period.

Which one are you babbling about? Those weren't riots, they were peaceful demonstrations.
