Another perfect example of the infallibility of the "Every conservative accusation is a confession" rule.

Conservatives are trying to justify worshipping Trump as their messiah. They don't want to simply justify classifying Trump as God's annointed one. They want to justify praying to Trump as if Trump himself was the actual diety, as so many in the Trump cult actually do.

That's why they're lying about liberals supposedly worshipping Obama. They think if they can deflect attention away from themselves that way, the laughter directed as them will cease, and people will stop pointing out how anti-Christian the Trump cultists are.

Needless to say, liberals never do the messiah thing, as liberals aren't brainwashed cultists.

They have a longstanding habit of desperately trying to turn criticisms of Trump and Trumpism around, no matter how poor and/or weak the comparison.

There was definitely an unusual euphoria around Obama when he won, and there were definitely some over the top moments. It clearly faded over time, especially as it became clear his administration was not going to be "transformative". Obviously much of the euphoria was based on the race breakthrough. So, relatively understandable.

Today, we have to watch a hefty portion of American Christianity selling its soul to a childish, vulgar, immoral orange thug, which has done more damage to the religion than any scandal could have. He mocks the religion every day with his behavior, and they're fine with it. They'll even attack when it's pointed out. Sad to watch. Now we know.
