I didn’t say it was a status or a classification I said it becomes a temporary conviction. And that’s just the plain truth.
Say some complete asshole (you, for a good example) got convicted of being a scumbag robber. But, on appeal, it got reversed and the case dismissed. Now you go applying for a job. The job application asks “have you ever been convicted of a crime?” The correct and honest legal answer would be “no.”
