Gaetz knows that this is probably just the tip of the iceberg, and that there are more bigly heavy shoes to fall. If he had any class, he would have declined the initial nomination.

I'm shocked.

I'm not. He probably saw it as a lost cause and dropped on to avoid further distractions from President Trump's agenda and possibly to spare him, his wife and family further denigration/embarrassment by the media and cancel culture minded others. He made the decision after meeting with Republican Senators who were very supportive of him personally but who spelled out the realities also. The cancel culture was sucking all the other oxygen out of the room in their zeal to trash him.

I'm curious who Trump will nominate to replace him though. The most fun appointment he could make would be Leo Terrell. Won't happen but it would be fun.

The woman, who was 17 years old at the time, testified that the second sexual encounter, which has not previously been reported, included another adult woman. She also testified to both sexual encounters in a civil deposition as part of a related lawsuit, sources said.

Again, DOJ did a three year investigation and dropped it.
