Matt is desperate to take the spotlight off himself and his buddy who has 33 federal charges against him.. Your blogger doesn't reference his sources. The Arizona audit is a secret affair with no outsiders allowed.

You just stumbled upon why the left is so eager to spin that story in attempts to kick him off his investigative Committee.
However technically, since it's a blackmail and extortion case to defame Gaetz, a good lawyer and an honest investigative agency would call what the MSM and whoever is involved in the political hit job as aiding and abetting that extortion, especially problematic for anyone who ever told him to back down from his committee duties like voter fraud investigations. That alone would be in the vain of racketeering.
If anyone high up ordered that former Justice dept lawyer to blackmail Gaetz then a number of violations can be charged from racketeering, obstruction, abuse of power, blackmail/extortion, filing false charges and using an investigative agency in doing so (part of the abuse of power charges).
Then you'd have evidence of covering up voter fraud.
Nobody risks all those charges and reputation
for no there -there.

Here's a thought. What if the Judge in the Greenberg case does not accept his plea this morning? Mattys daddy Don was a power politician here in Florida and still is. Lot's of money to pay many off for his son.

That if Greenberg doesn't live up to the deal?

I imagine lots of payoff's this weekend.
