You are, of course, BOTH, correct.
The problem with finding a certified auditing outfit, is they would have been part of the consortium. Folks that are either partisan, or have not studied polical science in depth, either do not care, or do not understand what this means.
This, of course, DOES NOT mean, that cyber ninjas did not have a conflict of interest, but, given their confirmation of many other aspects of previous audits, there is, IMO, a high likelihood, that given the amount of cooperation that they were given, that they did a pretty good job of uncovering corruption in the system.
The whole system is F'ed up. If you can't see it, you are either partisan, or you believe everything you are told.

And I would add, they are also the ones that are stopping election reform so that this debacle doesn't happen again.The ones destroying democracy are the people stopping the audits.
In Michigan, Gov. Whitmere has so far vetoed TWO election reform bills, and now, there is momentum moving for a ballot initiative to do the same.
I don't really put much hope in it though, because the Sec. of State is a radical Lesbian Feminist, that, once the signatures are gathered, will probably sit on the initiative, until close to the election, and then, do something like disqualify enough of the signatures, or challenge the imitative in court, or something like that to prevent it from going in front of the voters.
The audits are "fraudits" and are the result of the big lie perpetrated by Tump. That is what is challenging our Democracy.The ones destroying democracy are the people stopping the audits.
