They harbor disease. That's why grocery stores no longer allow reuseables unless the customer does the bagging.

Strange. I remember when we were saving the world by using reusable bags. Many said that it wss a bad idea that would spread disease.

I use cattle feed sacks. Fill'em up with vittles and paper, bring them home and then use them in the big cans for trash pickup or the recycle center. Pretty much the norm in these parts even for people who don't have a herd. The big dairy guys stack hundreds a week out at their gates and folks come by and snag-3-4-5 sacks and do the same as we do.
