There is a statue of her as her character Mary Richards, tossing her hat in the air,
which was a part of the opening of the show. It used to be on the corner on the Nicolett Mall (which is a street that runs parallel with Hennepin Avenue) in downtown Minneapolis.
The statue, now sits in the enclosed Crystal Court, which is also on the Nicolett Mall.
Just playing Cliff Clavin with some "little known facts".
RIP Mary Tyler Moore, you made me laugh.
