Sigh, if I use my Remington model 700 in .308 I have five rounds on board. Extra rounds (10) I keep in a small pouch designed for the purpose in my pack.

Now if I use my SFAR .308 AR I normally use a 10 round mag and keep another in my hunting pack.

No real difference on deer/bear because one round from either is all it usually takes for me. I could do near the same with my .308 Henry single shot rifle.....But that's not the point.

Now, get out in wild hog country and you will be glad for the SFAR....Multible targets, no limits....Rack 'em and stack 'em....I'd just cut to the chase to start with and use a 25 rounder.

BTW, I've killed deer with an AK and a SKS....Quality 7.62X39 125 gr SPs gets it done on whitetails within the .30-30 ranges.

Perhaps deer hunting is not the sport for you. After 35 years in a steel mill and knowing hundreds of hunters, I`ve never heard of one hunter that needed anything other than a deer rifle or a shotgun with a lead slug or whatever they call it. I let hunters access the woods through my property, but in this county they`re not allowed to use the weapons commonly used to hunt deer.
