March Madness 2016

Boeheim is easily one of the best college basketball coaches of all time, and before he retires he is giving his thoughts about the NCAA:
The Jim Boeheim Revenge Tour
It helps when you inherit a national semifinalist team and begin with that recruiting edge.
Edge? They lost scholarships from NCAA penalties. Boeheim was banned 9 games this year and banned from postseason last year. People have been arguing they aren't even good enough to make the tournament. And now Boeheim has them in the final four. Give him his due.
He has some of the best players in the country. He took over the job right after they made the semis in 1975. That's a recruiting edge. And I give him lots of credit for creating and committing to his unique 2-3 zone defense concept. But physical superiority cancels all theory.
Didn't he have a pedophile assistant coach? Man how close did he almost get Penn stated. Lol
He did at first then dumped him when proof came out. Big difference from Penn that knew the truth and hid it.

Recruiting the right players for that zone defense helps, not all blue chips can fit.
You just proved the point about Syracuse perpetually recruiting 4-star recruits. They can afford to sign players go fit their system instead of having to adjust the system to fit their players.

I like the idea that kids that go to Syracuse are home grown. Same with Florida California Indiana Wisconsin.

I like to think most of the kids that play in the West coast play different than they do in Indiana or ny
Not anymore. The coaches and recruiters see these players nationally in AAU leagues year round.
