I could see this going both ways actually. On one hand service animals always get the upper hand, but how can you tell a true service animal from a fake one is the question.

I would have been more understanding of the person who needed the service animal than my slight inconvenience. I mean, he wasn't even supposed to get 1st class to begin with! If anything, I would only say that each airplane ought to plan for this and have accommodation ready for one service animal, or maybe they could tell the guy with the dog they need to schedule him for a later flight where they can book him in the proper seat to begin with.

Have service dogs been on planes for many years now?
So why the problem now? I think humans love to cause drama for publicity.
.

Yes, the left have become addicted to the simple drama of it all.

Do they even have a clue of what positive karma means?

What the problem is now is that more people have started having animals with them. Back in the day, only people who are blind had them and now other people are getting them. The big question is why are other people getting them?

God bless you always!!!

Well some people actually have real health issues like epilepsy and such, but unfortunately a lot of the time it's because they want to get a free pass for their pets.

I think Delta should have downgraded the passenger with the service dog instead of the other man

Yeah, good idea.

The dirty little secret is that so-called "service dogs" aren't what you think. They aren't aids for the blind but instead they are living teddy bears for elites who can't function without a furry animal to give them comfort.

Not all there are several types that are serious like for epilepsy and certain other conditions. But ya a lot of people slap service dog on a pet because they know no one will challenge them on it.

True, with just a few exceptions.

What you say about them being living teddy bears, in my opinion, is the operative thing. Them being a living thing may only mean another piece of responsibility should keeping the animal(s) alive mean enough to whoever gets them in the first place.

God bless you always!!!

P.S. Some people can't even keep themselves going well enough and so how can adding an innocent life to the list of their priorities make the needed difference?

COmplainer should be banned from the airline permanently. He did not buy a First Class ticket.

He had been upgraded only a few minutes before. he should have just taken his seat and STFU.

All part of a long-standing "I'm a victim too" movement that piggy-backs off of the success of the civil rights movements.

I don't see a blind person with a guide dog in any way as the same as a person with anxiety who has an emotional support corgi.

That looks like a pet, not a service dog.. the guy isn’t blind. Has his foot up on the wall in front.. scrolling his phone.. probably laughing inside his pet and he got upgraded to first..

😀

My dog would go apeshit on a plane with take off and would probably do a shit.. 😂
Yes, I would imagine thats the normal response. But its the airline's policy, and as noted, whiny boy didn't have a First Class Ticket in the first place.

Inversely, what are rules on free tickets for service dogs?
