Actually, the USS Ford has been deployed for 11 months now. This is a record deployment. Usually, deployments are only for about six months, after which crews are given downtime. This is why out of 10 carriers, we only have five available at any given time.

All this would be bad enough if the toilets were backing up and the ship was generally unhealthy for her crew.

Now, I don't know if this was intentional sabotage by her crew or not. But I wouldn't be surprised.
