Mamdani tried showing off at a “men’s day” event

I used to be able to bench about 250. Nowadays, probably 150 would be my tops. My legs were always my strongest. I think 800 was my tops with those.

I am the same. I used to be able to do 10 reps at 200 lbs pretty easy. My max was around 250lbs. I could do what the Dim Commie *** did in 8th grade.

No surprise, he's a wimp. :gay:

My 32B's are taut and I contribute that to weight lifting. I am steroid free, my clitoris is of average size, vegan as well.
My clitoris could be larger than westwall 's shriveled cocktail sausage and two bee-bee's he claims is his manhood but probably not.
So, how much do you bench?

At my peak I could press 200. After several back surgeries, I can manage half that on a seated machine.

How Much Can You Bench?

The entire bench!

If you're vegan you're weak.

Very impressive. I hope I’m able to do that much at 70.

Not too long after I hit that 1RM personal record I hurt my shoulder and stopped benching with free weights.

Currently I use the chest press machines (the kind you put plates on the side and sit and “bench” the weight) and can go pretty heavy still that way. But it’s not the same. You’re not using all the accessory muscles to stabilize.

My shoulders mostly better, but I still have a hard time raising that arm 100% above my head. Can’t do military shoulder presses at all (even on the machine) and my delts have lagged as a result. Which is a shame cause my delts used to be what I was known for
Sounds like a rotator cuff tear. Get it fixed and start up again. You are still young enough to work out with free weights.

Reminds me of the story about the Chargers players working out in a gym and some 17 year old kid got on the bench and did several reps with over 400 lbs. They felt so weird about it many of them decided to end their bench workout.
I don't buy that. It depends on what position they play on whether they would be intimidated these days. Linebackers are all going to be benching 450 to 550 lbs. Some 600 lbs. But, QB's and WR, Running backs won't be doing that. They have their own work routines that does not include that kind of bench pressing.

Zohan Mamdani tried to act like he was a macho man this week by doing a few bench presses with a girly weight hoping this would prove he was a man.

Total failure.

He used my warm-up weight and needed a spotter just to get it off of the rack.

Useful tip. Never do anything in front of cameras unless you've practiced first.

I'm sure he could do it if he started building up in weight in private because bench presses take practice.

I remember when I first benched 135 lbs when I was 12.

At least he’s emphasizing health and physical fitness. We have so many issues in the United States with folks being unhealthy. You got skinny fat you got obesity. To much sugar

I was in a bad accident about five years ago With a spine injury… in a wheelchair for nine months. At first, unable to even feed myself. Doctor were not much I’d recover but I’ve been able to recover enough to be able to walk and do most things.

I had surgery on my upper spine area because of the accident. So exercising is not like it used to be. I think though post accident I have been benching up to 170 but not freestyle it was a different style bench press I think it’s called an angle bench press or Smith bench press.

recently, I’ve been doing push-ups and situps along with planks throughout the week. And using the treadmill every day. But when I’m back in Asia or Las Vegas, I’m doing tons and tons of walking anywhere from 2 to 5 miles a day. Cardiovascular is critical when it comes to maintaining a healthy weight. Of course along with a good diet. I don’t drink any soda. I don’t drink any alcohol due to a health issue related to my accident. I drink only coffee and water. I try not to have much sweets…. I will have honey roasted peanuts, but those are only about 4 g of sugar per serving. Sometimes tortilla chips and apples. I also fast when I first wake up I don’t eat for about four or five hours.

But you really would’ve thought he’d have, like, tried it out at a gym or something first to make sure he could bench something respectable so as not to look pussified on a national stage

He must not have the greatest staffers on his team

15th post
The PBD podcast once brought up an interesting study that men in America were stronger about 30 years ago compared to today. They could bench press more they could arm curl more on average compared to today.

Makes sense as we live in a digital age. A lot of folks are staring at their phone all day.

I understand, but I would give credit to Mamdani before insult…. I’ve never seen Donald Trump do any kind of exercise and I voted for Trump.

It’s good to see any politician emphasizing health and physical fitness considering the health problems in the USA

Maybe the average man was stronger

But the records for weightlifting have increased exponentially.

Maybe not 30 years ago, but Even amateur weightlifters are lifting more than the record holders did back in the 50s and 60s

Yes, weightlifters that makes sense perhaps. But this statistic was talking about the average man like the average guy who goes into a gym. This stat is about what men on average were bench pressing 30 years ago compared to today.
