Mamdani tried showing off at a “men’s day” event

I was at around 250 for the last 10 years till I started dropping weight from stress over my wife.
I'm down to 228 right now.
Drink lots of water and stay away from beer and sodas and you'll drop weight, if you want to.
I’ve learned not to care so much about the number on the scale. More important is body composition and waistline. Just had to start wearing my belt a notch tighter, so doing ok in that department. I still got a big gut. Having very wide shoulders helps make my stomach seem smaller proportionally, but it’s still too big

I agree about the beverages. I cut out all sugary drinks long ago. I don’t even drink juice anymore. I think people don’t realize how many empty calories they consume just from what they drink.

I do use the flavor enhancer stuff to water, cause plain water gets boring

That’s a weird number. What combination of plates even makes up 312?

315 is three 45’s on each side (six total) on an Olympic bar.

In my prime 5 or 6 years ago I could bench that for 10-12 reps
How many PEDs do you take?

I suggest you invest in a good water purifier, because the problem with tap water is it usually tastes so bad you have to cover up the taste with flavor enhancers.
My parents had tap water when I grew that tasted so good I would drink too much of it.

I am natty but have dated some female bodybuilders that consumed steroids. Those women were incredibly strong.

I was on steroids for a few months with a doctor's prescription, and it increased my bench by 20 lbs in less than a month and grew hair all over the place. But it caused my nuts to shrink.

TRT?

It doesn't take much to bench press.
Weird answer. So what is your 1rep max? Mine was 350 lbs on my 40th birthday. I don’t do free weights anymore. I’m 72. But I still push bench on the nautilus stuff at LA Fitness. I start with warmups at 130lbs and work up to 6 reps at 300lbs.

455 is my record
I added some more info to mine. I’m 72 now and work out 3 times a week. No free weights anymore. On the cam-like nautilus in work up to 6 reps at 300lbs. I’m tempted to go over to the free weights but I have a bad back and sore elbows at times.

Tell Mondummy and his supporters.

He seems to imagine it helps establishes his cred as a possible future Mayor of NYC. Or. maybe, he just wants to get the first punch on his man card.

Very impressive. I hope I’m able to do that much at 70.

Not too long after I hit that 1RM personal record I hurt my shoulder and stopped benching with free weights.

Currently I use the chest press machines (the kind you put plates on the side and sit and “bench” the weight) and can go pretty heavy still that way. But it’s not the same. You’re not using all the accessory muscles to stabilize.

My shoulders mostly better, but I still have a hard time raising that arm 100% above my head. Can’t do military shoulder presses at all (even on the machine) and my delts have lagged as a result. Which is a shame cause my delts used to be what I was known for

Reminds me of the story about the Chargers players working out in a gym and some 17 year old kid got on the bench and did several reps with over 400 lbs. They felt so weird about it many of them decided to end their bench workout.
