Majority of attempts to ban books in US come from organised groups not parents

The deluded Radical Left believe that other people's children are the property of the government.

In such villages parents often don't know where their children are. They trust that the kids are with friends or relatives.

The real "village" is the greater society that kids are exposed to as soon as they enter school, or even earlier. Their standing among the other kids is far more important to them than anything they are being taught.

Younger kids are taught what is important to adults, not what is most important for them to learn. Teachers believe that because the kids are gathered into one group (classroom or schoolhouse) that they are being socialized. They are not.

I think we all knew that really. The attempt to keep kids in the dark doesnt come from actual parents. It comes from well funded groups of religous extremists and racists.
Everything does come to an end and the current fascist regime will do as well.
No need for an elementary school kid to read about two gay men performing oral and/or anal sex.

So American kids are denied access to books. they will grow up ignorant fucks like their gop parents.
No one needs to read books about sexual deviants and perverts.
We have religious freedom here and parental rights.
You can peddle your shit books elsewhere.

Edited to add: come to think of it, there is no need for ME to read about deviant sexual practices, let alone a 9-year-old.

You're still free to buy porn and hand it out to kids who are unfortunate enough to come into contact with you. Just keep it out of our schools.
.

I love the clean feeling of living in my area of the world, where people who try to sexually assault children get gone.

Kids will grow up ignorant because they didn’t get to read about anal sex when they were 9 years old?

They need to learn how to read, how to write, and how to do basic math. The proficiency scores are abysmal.

Yes. Some American conservatives appreciate the way the Chinese Communist Party censors certain books. They probably love the CCP strategies! lol. :)

👉 The majority of attempts to ban books in the U.S. come from organized groups rather than individual parents. This is supported by several key points:

1. Organized Campaigns: The American Library Association (ALA) notes that many efforts to target books come from politicized groups or individuals demanding the censorship of multiple titles, often dozens or hundreds at a time, which drove the surge in book challenges[1]. This indicates a coordinated effort rather than isolated actions by parents.

2. Conservative Groups: Reports highlight the role of conservative organizations such as Moms for Liberty, No Left Turn in Education, and MassResistance in pushing for book bans. These groups operate nationally and have been instrumental in organizing efforts to challenge books, particularly those related to LGBTQ and racial issues[3][5].

3. Shift in Challenge Dynamics: Historically, book challenges were often initiated by individual parents or community members. However, recent trends show a significant shift towards organized campaigns by groups, which now account for a substantial portion of challenges[3][6].

4. Data on Challenges: In 2022, 90% of reported book challenges involved demands to censor multiple titles, further indicating the involvement of organized groups rather than individual parents[7].

Overall, while parents may still initiate some challenges, the data and trends suggest that organized groups are driving the majority of book ban efforts in the U.S.

👉 The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) employs various methods to censor books and control the flow of information. Here are some key strategies:

1. Pre-Publication Review: All books must be submitted to government authorities for approval before publication. This includes scrutiny of content that might challenge CCP ideology or state narratives.

2. Publication License: Publishers must obtain licenses from the government, which can be revoked if they publish materials deemed inappropriate.

3. Blacklisting: Certain authors or specific works are blacklisted, prohibiting publication or distribution within China. This often includes works related to sensitive political topics or criticism of the Party.

4. Internet Filtering: Online access to certain books and materials is restricted. E-books and digital content may be blocked to prevent dissemination of unapproved information.

5. Distribution Control: The CCP monitors and regulates the distribution of books through bookstores and libraries, ensuring that only state-approved literature is accessible.

6. Self-Censorship: Many authors and publishers engage in self-censorship, avoiding controversial topics to comply with government expectations and minimize the risk of repercussions.

7. Educational Curriculum Control: Textbooks used in schools are heavily vetted to ensure they align with Party ideologies, limiting exposure to alternative viewpoints.

8. Surveillance and Reporting: The government encourages citizens to report on publications or individuals that violate censorship laws.

These methods collectively aim to maintain ideological control and suppress dissenting voices within the literary landscape of China. :)
