She was voted In to serve her consituents. This guy was given his seat by someone serving us, and profiting from his generosity at the same time. No, he was not a cybernsecurity specialist. He had a trading company. They tried to use that line as cover, nothing more.
You know it, they know it, otherwise he wouldn't have been pushed out. You don't try to cover up for a legitimate appt.
