3. And in the real world, the overseas trade routes and supply chains of FREE capitalists are protected by GOVERNMENT military. [Do you know how much it costs to stabilize/defend/protect Exxon’s mideast oil fields.]
4. And in the real world, our FREE capitalists benefit from GOVERNMENT supplied roads, energy grids, water facilities, law enforcement and satellite systems, without which commerce would look like it does in Rwanda.

The business owner gives political donations to the Republicans, who promise to convince everyone that government is evil and does nothing for people. Yes, for every one of these stories, I know you can tell me ten about confiscatory taxes and incompetence and corruption and redistribution. But don’t you get it? Your stories about evil government are partly told for the purpose of putting downward pressure on taxes.

I work for a successful medium size business with tentacles on 3 continents, and I most certainly benefited from the tax breaks we were given to relocate, and so did our customers. I'm not against capitalism you fucking tool. I just want people to stop ignoring government's role in infrastructure, legal protection, military defense, patent protection and financial stabilization to name a few things.

Of course corporations pay taxes you fucking nitwit - how do you think we pay for rebuilding whole Arab nations or bailing out Red States like Louisiana after they get flooded? And yes, of course tax policy can help/hurt incentives to invest/expand.

I also don't think it was a bad thing that during the financial crisis, the Federal Reserve provided GE with $16 billion in financial assistance. Large corporations receive massive assistance from government. The free market floats on a sea of government assistance and infrastructure. Own it. Stop lying and stop crying. And yes, you are absolutely right, government fucks up on tax & regulatory policy all the time.

I'm just sick of people and corporations who get shit from government and then bitch like they're getting nothing in return. Tell both sides of the story.

Also, unlike most of my Lefty friends, I'm fine with low wages or environmental pollution because as a consumer and an investor I put massive pressure on corporations to lower their costs and prices. If they charge too much or return too little, I vote with my feet. This is why Trump will never bring jobs and high wages back. Nike investors make higher returns when their products are made for pennies in sweatshops. The lower cost of production IS the magic incentive that drives investment. Everybody knows you can't shift global production to first world labor markets without creating massive convulsions in the market - but nobody showed a pretty think tank graph when Ted Cruz tried to school him on this.
