I get the sentiment. I would have told Trump to do it incrementally, cars first, then farm products, then other things we can make more of. He went all-in, probably to get past this before the mid-terms.

Most people who do not panic sell will be just fine...in about 5 years.

Some of the shorting funds have done extremely well....7%-23% gains. (Always good to have an opening in one of those)

The pain is not going to stop until we hit around 4600-4700 for the S&P 500. We might dip below that for a bit and that would be the time to buy big. (Bottom feeding but it makes money)

Currently we are looking at war with China and Iran all at the same time. China wants the cash in Taiwan's banking system and their microchip manufacturing Capability that we refuse to allow them to have.

Iran is just nuts....they fund terrorism around the planet. Everyone from Hamas to Houthis and even inside of Saudi Arabia.
And Iran has ramped up their enriched uranium speed to have enough for a bomb every 24 hours.
I personally have not heard if they can built hydrogen or Neutron bombs yet. They require tritium and deuterium....more difficult materials to obtain. So their nukes are likely the very dirty kind that causes radiation that lasts for centuries.

So....that's the huge problem.

Iran believes that China will come to their rescue. But China just wants not only Taiwan but also the finances of South Korea, Thailand, Japan, the Phillipines and Vietnam. The whole Asian Pacific most wealthiest nations. It wouldn't mind a big piece of Russia and India either...especially Kashmir.

Houthis are just cannon fodder. Used like the puppets in Gaza to divert attention.
